Yes ! Although, all the stories that I have read of jinns did not go
well for the caller of the jinn.

succeed) to use 'three wishes' safely.

I have read those same short stories. They always go bad for the
wisher. My favorite is that the wisher becomes the jinn and it tied to
the bottle / artifact.
The Twilight Zone version had the wisher wishing to become the wish giver.
