    Are the lyrics or music of Mahler's work actually referenced in the >"kindertotenlieder" story?

    If so, that would make it the third SF/F story that cites his work, the >others being the "Lied von der Erde" (Damon Knight) and tenth symphony
    (Greg Bear). That I am aware of, anyway.

    Ominously, my spell checker wants to replace "kindertotenlieder" with >"prekindergarten".
