Hmm. They did go with an internal voiceover, so that's going to help.
More androgynous would have been better, but that could be tough.
Frankly the actor looks too old.

I didn't like the tiny bit where it seemed it risked one of the crew.
That didn't happen, at least not without the full knowledge of the
person, like Dr. Mensah pretending to be a hostage in All Systems Red.

The trailer is not linear nor it is contiguous. The blood spot on
the wall is from where Murderbot threw the good doctor through the
open doorway as the sand pit monster was getting ready to eat
somebody. All very much documented in The Murderbot Diaries, "All
    Systems Red".

What are you talking about? MB didn't throw anyone through the doorway.
It carried Bharadwaj in, while two of the others dragged in Volescu.

The dialog from the trailer was,

"What the hell, you could have killed me!"

"There was a chance, yes. But everything turned out fine."

Where from the book did anything like that happen? Before you go
correcting me, know that I've read these many times.

I skimmed "All Systems Red" last night and believe that you are
correct. I did not find the throw through the door event. I guess
that the show and the book are going to have differences.

Sure. Even that bit where MB says, "Stop looking at me." I don't think
it ever said that, although it certainly wanted to. If that took place
before the Preservation team found out it was rogue, then that
certainly wouldn't have happened, as SecUnits didn't say things like
    that.

More likely it's after. Regardless, I don't think that happened. BUT,
there's no way anyone (except maybe Gurathin) and I am guessing that
was supposed to be Overse, would have responded like that. They were
falling all over themselves to be solicitous and respectful of MB's
    feelings. Usually to its dismay.

There will little things that bug fans. The "older model" was nothing
ever mentioned. Pretty much all SecUnits are identical. You have to
move to a different class, like Combat SecUnits to see any differences.
And there was nothing about them selecting their SecUnit. The Company
assigned them one. Preservation didn't want one at all.

I saw it elsewhere that the entire first season is going to be "All
Systems Red". Lots of stretching and new events might be required to
    make that happen.

Yeah, I'm sure. It's kind of the opposite of the usual, where a movie
isn't long enough to really do justice to a book. I remember the first
season of Dexter, which was based on the first novel. They had to add a
bunch of stuff to pad it out. And with All Systems Red, they are
working with a novella. I don't know how many episodes are planned.

I did not know that there was a Dexter book.

There was a whole series of books, but only the first season of the
show was based on them. They changed the ending so much that first
season that they couldn't use any other books after that.

Many of the tv series are making 10 episodes per year now so I expect
that to be this case. It was 13 recently. The first couple of
seasons of "Law And Order" were 22 in the early 90s.

Ten wouldn't be too bad, although still would require some padding.
