It's an interesting question. I think we know all of Bechimo's crew and
it's probably about a dozen, but he is a small ship. Dutiful Passage
is much larger, and, as mentioned, armed, but then again modern container
ships are said to have crews of 20-30 and they are pretty big. I think it's >> safe to say at least that we haven't been introduced to all of DP's crew

in the range of a mile to ten miles long, are two different levels of >complexity ?
After all, the container ship uses Earth's air. The space ship will
have to generate air for the humans to breathe. The container ship uses >combustion engines using fuel and using air from the atmosphere.
Spaceships will probably use a fusion drive. On and on for the
different levels of complexity. And DP has a dedicated security force
which container ships do not generally have.
IIRC, most of DP's fighting modules are kept in a secret location. They
are not carried by DP all the time, that space is reserved for cargo.
