I've seen some reviews of it.
Apparently it isn't all _that_ woke.
    But it has another problem.

There's apparently a plot twist in it that will be like a kick

I won't say what it is, but no doubt you'll hear soon enough.

I haven't seen any reviews that mention a plot twist. You could at
    least reveal a link.

There should be a newsgroup specifically for revealing spoilers
in any medium for the benefit of those of us who have no plans
    to consume the product.

Superman is gay? And he's got an unrequited thing for Aqua-Man?

He's got a copy of Larry Niven's "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex"

    This is pointless.
    <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman_(2025_film)> already exists
and ... well, I will probably watch it (why not? I watched /Man of
Steel/ and the following loser films) but it's going to have to be
/very/ well done for me to consider buying a disc of it.

That said, introducing Krypto into a live-action movie (note that I do
not say that Krypto himself is live-action) is nice.

As is the return of the gym shorts. They were sorely missed in the
    prior abominations.

I mean, really, how hard is it to get the costume right? It's in every
single comic book panel showing Superman, after all.

For me, George Reeves will always be the best-looking and most
believable Superman, although my father never thought he looked
athletic enough for the part. I don't think he needs to be athletic
or athletic looking, what with being super.

I have long believed that a real Kal-El would look on
Earth like the legendary 90 lb weaklng in the Charles Atlas
ads in comic books in the good old days when I was
pre-pubertal... Because Earth's gravity is weaker than the
gravity of Krypton that was and his muscles would not have
to develop so much. Later it has become clear that the
Costumed superheroes are simply magical beings. Kal-El
does everything via magic and did all those other guys
and girls who featured in the comics of yesteryear.
Currently Superman is now the son of Kal and is gay
    with a boyfriend/mate.
I only know about it because it the library as it
did not when I was young now carries graphic novels.
I did not know that until they put those graphic
novels at the front of the New books display which
caught my eye as I walked back to the SF books
    section.

    bliss

Well, I just got back from seeing the movie. On average I have to rate
it as a "C". A few moments of "This is a Hero" with more moments of
really tasteless parody. If this is what Mr. Gunn has in mind for the
    DCU I will pass.

Thanks. Interesting -- from the photo in the next article
headlined "Superman stars...met moments before..." I see they
    have similar-looking noses.

Not sure if it was here or in rec.arts.tv but it used to be the norm
that spoilers were ok if they were rot-13'd first. (Which many
browsers will do and if not one can copy the text into rot13.com for translation.
