It's always the fans... never the writing or the production.
Jodie Whittaker was right though, some Doctor Who fans were
toxic at her casting. However, as somebody who sat through every
one of her thirty plus episodes there was a lot more wrong with
the 13th Doctor's era than the Doctor having a pair of tits...

Jodie Whittaker didn't write the scripts, she just did as she

I don't know about that particular storyline,
but a lot of the changes do also come from higher up the food
chain, i.e. the morons in management. Especially the
"Politically Correct" nonsense because they're trying to

companions cluttering up the TARDIS during her era though.
(Which in turn affected the stories, as trying to focus on three

It's true that some in Doctor Who fandom didn't like a female
13th Doctor and were against Jodie Whittaker from the very
beginning, but to blame the fans for the failures of that era is
taking the easy way out.
There's a trend nowadays for producers, writers and actors to
point the figure at fans when a show/franchise doesn't do as
well as they had hoped. But liking a TV show is not compulsory,
a show has to earn its audience. If a fan isn't getting
enjoyment from a TV show then that's their prerogative, they
don't HAVE to like it. The producers should look a bit closer to
home as to why some people were finding that Doctor Who was not
as entertaining as it once was. I know for a fact other people,
like myself, didn't object to Jodie's 13th Doctor per se but
just thought a lot of the episodes were poor and not very
enjoyable.* That's not on the fans, or Jodie Whittaker* ... that's
on Chris Chibnall.

Neither of them were all good or all bad. Pretty much like
any era of Doctor Who really.
There was just more outside noise during Chris Chibnall's
tenure...
Chinball was all bad!

No, I think there were some good 13th Doctor stories. Often

Chris Chibnall is currently working on the Netflix adaptation of
Agatha Christie's "The Seven Dials Mystery", whilst Jodie
Whittaker is filming some new crime series for ITV. So both of
their careers are certainly not dead after "Doctor Who",
anything but.
In fact, it's quite possible that "Doctor Who" will be dead
before their careers are!
I’ve been saying this ever since Torchwood, but Chibnall’s main
strength as a writer is in writing angst-filled character drama
about weighty moral issues. OTOH he’s no good with light-hearted, >plot-heavy romps.
Guess which of those categories Doctor Who falls into?
It’s not that he’s a bad writer. It’s just that DW was the wrong
series for him.
Unfortunately, The Seven Dials Mystery also fits into that same
category. I’m not looking forward to his take on it.

Don't say that, I'm trying to be positive about it... I love my
Agatha Christie dramatisations. So I am hoping "The Seven Dials
Mystery" is more Broadchurch than Doctor Who!
The BBC's "Towards Zero" adaptation is on BBC1 this Sunday
evening so let's get that out of the way first.
