Rylan said:
"As a massive Whovian, getting the call to be in Doctor
Who was a call I've always dreamed of getting. The

an added song contest set in space. It really is a
dream come true. I can't wait for everyone to see it.
It really is going to be out of this world."
Further guests include Caoilfhionn Dunne, Evelyn Miller, Ariyon
Bakare, Julie Dray, and Jonah Hauer-King.

"I am so excited to be joining the cast of Doctor Who,
an iconic show with such a rich legacy. I had such an
amazing time working alongside Rylan while wearing
some beautiful prosthetics, and can't wait for
audiences to see the spectacular Interstellar Song
Contest be brought to life! Voilà!"
Caoilfhionn Dunne said:
"I am so grateful to have been asked to be a part of
this exciting second season of Doctor Who. As a

true. And to get to work with such an amazing gang,
Ncuti [Gatwa, the Fifteenth Doctor] and Varada,
such a wonderful duo, this absolutely stellar cast
and such a supportive and hardworking crew. I couldn't
have asked for a better gang of folk to have hurtled
through the Whoniverse with."
Evelyn Miller said:
"I'm so delighted to be joining the Doctor Who team. It
was such a feature of my childhood, the memory of
curling up on the sofa with my brother and watching
the Weeping Angels episode from behind a pillow still
makes me laugh. We were terrified. The love and
passion that's gone into this series is so clear.
I can't wait for people to see it!"
Ariyon Bakare said:
"As a kid, I'd run around the house chasing my little
sister, arms raised, shouting, I am a Dalek! Back then,
I never imagined I'd even meet a Doctor, let alone
guest star in the show. So, returning to the
Whoniverse for Season 2 is an absolute treat. I can't
wait for everyone to see what we've created."

I don't care. I don't want to watch transvestites and people
suffering for mental illness being inserted into a show
because of their race, gender, sexuality, and disability. It's
a circus exhibition and not entertaining in any way.

RTD turned it into Eurovision with his cross dressing singing pervert

Doctor Who ended in 2017! The wish of every Doctor Who fan is to have
the series return from where it ended and the perversion that replaced
it cancelled and completely annulled, especially the Timeless Child monster.

No Dave, it's logical. If you claim to be a fan of any TV show
why would you wish to see that show cancelled? Especially as you
continue to watch the show that you say you hate every week that
it's on!
If you don't like a TV show - switch it off and move on. Wanting
it cancelled just because you don't like it is the sort of thing
the woke brigade do... cancel something they dislike. So you
just become a different side of the same coin.

solution. And it doesn't interfere with anyone else's likes or
dislikes.

It depends on which figures you want to believe, but except for a few
small bumps, viewer numbers have basically been steadily falling,
especially since the move to Disney+ (partly thanks to international
viewers simply not wanting to pay for streaming even if they still
wanted to watch the show).
Reportesdly, the 2024 season had the lowest viewer numbers for *any*
season (including teh bad ol' days of Sylvester McCoy) and the 2024
Christmas Special had the second lowest viewer numbers for any of the >specials. ><https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_episodes_(2005–present)>

Looks fairly positive overall. New companion has that Tegan "just get me
home, I need to catch my flight" vibe, acknowledgment of the actor's link
to Boom, more Mel Bush, more Mrs Flood, and if we have to have a musical episode the not-Eurovision Song Contest is a good setting for it, and
Rylan's a good choice for host. Would be nice if they acknowledged Big Finish's Bang-Bang-a-Boom (and took Mel along for the ride!), but that
really is hoping for too much, I guess.
And in a little context, the Purple Rose of Cairo / Last Action Hero
inspired cartoon character looks a little sinister, too.
Thumbs tentatively up.

Looks fairly positive overall. New companion has that Tegan "just get me home, I need to catch my flight" vibe, acknowledgment of the actor's link
to Boom, more Mel Bush, more Mrs Flood, and if we have to have a musical episode the not-Eurovision Song Contest is a good setting for it, and
Rylan's a good choice for host.

I would agree that it looks fairly positive. However...this is the
trailer we're talking about. Like press releases, trailers are designed
to spin shows in a positive light in order to draw in viewers. It
really wouldn't help if the trailer highlighted something in the show
that was potentially detrimental.

I'm looking forward to the new Doctor Who season. I don't
know why people assume there's only a few still interested.
It's a very popular show around here.
It depends on which figures you want to believe, but except
for a few small bumps, viewer numbers have basically been
steadily falling, especially since the move to Disney+ (partly
thanks to international viewers simply not wanting to pay for
streaming even if they still wanted to watch the show).
Reportesdly, the 2024 season had the lowest viewer numbers for
any season (including teh bad ol' days of Sylvester McCoy) and
the 2024 Christmas Special had the second lowest viewer
numbers for any of the specials.

A Eurovision themed episode to precede the Eurovision Song
Contest fills me with dread... especially when they said there
will be "singing and dancing".
The Mrs Flood thing has me interested... I just hope the
realisation lives up to the expectations. Although that would be
more on me and what I am hoping for, but RTD has previous on
setting up things that then fall flat.

In "Bang-Bang-a-Boom" we had the Intergalactic Song Contest, in
the S15/S2 episode it's the Interstellar Song Contest.
Having Mel Bush make a cameo would be fun...
Thumbs tentatively up.

That's the key word, "reportedly". With the exception of the UK,
where we know what the actual ratings were...and even then they
are only guesstimates at the end of the day. Nobody knows how
well "Doctor Who" did for Disney+ in its territories.
I did read somewhere that the "Doctor Who" 2024 Christmas
special did very well for Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand,
but with no official streaming figures published it's all
hearsay... and doing well on a streaming service that people
have to pay for is relative as it wouldn't be the same as doing
well on a traditional TV channel with wider audience exposure.
The only way we'll know for sure if Disney were happy with
"Doctor Who" is if they choose to order more episodes/seasons of
the show from the BBC.

therefore, how much MONEY Disney might make from more 'Doctor Who'.
