Here is my list of the top 10 worst episode series by series of Nu-Who
20 years on.
(The list might change as time passes.)
Series 1) Boom Town
Series 2) Fear Her (The Olympic torch relay and cauldron lighting was >excruciating and featured cometary by a self-admitted child abuser. Even
with that said the cauldron lighting is still more memorable that the
actual London 2012 cauldron lighting by a bunch of complete nobodies.)
Series 3) 42 (Terrible writing throughout by Chris Chibnall)
Series 4) Midnight
Specials) Planet of the Dead
Series 5) Amy's Choice (Set's up the Dream Lord who subsequently amounts
to nothing)
Series 6) Closing Time
Series 7) The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
Specials) The Time of the Doctor
Series 8) Kill The Moon
Series 9) Face the Raven
Series 10) The Pilot
And that's where Doctor Who ends.

I actually liked Midnight. It was like a 3-act stage play, where second
act takes up most of the story. And you never got to see the monster of
the week.

But rarely do we agree.
Worst 10 - hmm. Going backwards in time for variety...
The Devil's Chord. Waste of a great premise, the resolution
was facile - far too casual for killing a God - made no
logical sense. And a fourth-wall breaking disconnected musical
number at the end. They could have done the same song and
dance and fitted it into the script somehow , but nobody tried.
Praxeus. Dreary, plodding and preachy.
Orphan 55. See Praxeus.
The Battle of Ranskoor av Kolos. Dull, flat and just not a
worthy season finale.
Kill the Moon. Stupid beyond belief.
In the Forest of the Night. Boring, stupid beyond belief and
pointless.
The Angels Take Manhattan. Terrible use of Angels, awful send
off and ending for Amy and Rory, and the excuse for never
seeing them again is just absurd and so easy to get around -
just no.
Fear Her. Awful.
Gods and Monsters. Could have been sublime but Peter Kay and
the Absorbaloff were just unutterably awful.
Bad Wolf. The TV pastiches were poor at the time and they
haven't aged well.
Another day, I might list another ten.

I could easily do another ten stories from the past fifteen
years! Some years it was a toss up between two or three stories
that I could have gone for as the worst.
I did enjoy a lot of the Eccleston/Tennant era though, so even
though some stories haven't stood the test of time, I did find
them enjoyable enough. I can be forgiving to the extent that I
am aware I wasn't the show's target audience.

Series 4) Midnight
I actually liked Midnight. It was like a 3-act stage play,
where second act takes up most of the story. And you never
got to see the monster of the week.
Midnight was one of the worse!
Was it? Maybe that's why AGA listed it in his post then?
You can disagree with other people's choices but I don't see your
list anywhere... Oh that's right, you can't actually discuss
Doctor Who or contribute properly here can you?
Midnight falls apart in the middle.
It falls apart from when Tennant is on the phone with Donna.
That was irght in the middle.

Doctor Who has the BBC licence fee. There's no fans left any more

They're only watching it so that others don't have to. Even the BBCs

I've not watched a single new episode of Doctor Who since 2017. The B&W >colourizations don't count.

Not if he's in it. The highest rating episode of his first

Can peacocks prance? I’m no twitcher or birder or anything like that,

of balance.
They prance. I've watched them doing it in the local aviary with tails
