Jon Pertwee was MY Doctor followed by Tom Baker... William
Hartnell was also before my time. There are faults with all eras
of the show but generally my main complaints would be more on
the quality of the scripts. The Doctor isn't usually the issue
as the actors playing the part can only read the scripts they
are given.
I think Jodie Whittaker deserved better, the Timeless Child
story-line was misguided and unnecessary... it is part of
the show now so people need to move on, but she wasn't a bad
Doctor per se. Ncuti Gatwa is a good actor and when he gets the
chance to show what he can do he is a great Doctor. Often New
Who marginalises the Doctor in favour of the companion's
'story'... for me, in an 8 x 45 min season the seasons are too
short now to spend too much time on the companion and how
important they are, the show is about the Doctor... he needs to
be front and centre.
And the Timeless Child is just a plot device and
very unlikely to be retconed.

Doctor Who is the best it has ever looked... and Ncuti Gatwa is
doing a great job. He IS the Doctor.
Unashamed fantasy is okay-ish though, if it works... I didn't
like the singing Goblins!
I find a lot of the stories are often rushed though. I'd like to
see smaller scale stories with more traditional monsters/aliens
with more detail to the plot given and not rushing from one big
action scene to another big action scene with the viewer left
scratching their heads at the 'what?' or 'why?' But that's more
an issue with how modern television shows are made these days.

It's all pure fan fiction. The ending of The Five Doctors shows that
Rassilon NEVER possessed the ability to regenerate. Regeneration was
invented after Rassilon was dead and entombed in his tower. Regeneration
