"Wish World" is basically Doctor Who does Wandavision.
Wandavision probably did it better but it was still kind of
fun to see the Doctor in a traditional family setting for a
while...
You can't really judge a story properly that's only half way
through, so for our half-time entertainment let's check the
RTD season finale checklist and see how we got on in readiness
for next week...
The Rani. Tick.
Ruby Sunday. Tick.
Belinda Chandra. Tick.
Poppy. Tick.
Conrad the Cad. Tick.
Mrs Flood. Tick.
Melanie Bush. Tick.
UNIT. Tick.
Susan Twist. Tick
Rogue. Tick.
Past Doctor cameos. Tick.
Susan. Tick
Omega. Tick.
Kitchen sink. Tick.
There's a lot to fit in next week as RTD over-eggs his season
finale pudding once again. It's a pity it'll only be a 45 minute
episode. I hope it all works out okay...

Didn’t the DWM comic strip do it first, with a fantasy scene
where the eighth Doctor is a human married to Grace Holloway?
Something like that, anyway.
Meanwhile, I’m left wondering what the bigenerated fourteenth
Doctor and the hotel-dwelling earlier version of the fifteenth
were doing during all of this. Wouldn’t their doubts be enough
to power the Ranis’ magic clock?
RTD expects us to get excited about characters from classic DW
but not even remember anything or anyone from the last couple
of years (except Poppy for some reason, even though we’re all
desperately trying to forget Space Babies ever happened!)

I got the feeling that I was watching last season's finale all over >again...just with a better villain (lame bi-generation notwithstanding).
It was like RTD doesn't expect anyone to remember last season's finale
so that he can do it all over again.
At least The Rani is still "The Rani".

I'm sure plenty of shows/films/comics have done it over the
years but "Wandavision" seemed the most appropriate way of
describing it.

It's the usual RTD BIG build up isn't it? Throw everything in to
the mix and see what comes out...it's still only half time so
we'll give him the benefit of the doubt this year. Methinks he's
gonna have to go some way to land this properly though!

There's a fine line between Rani and Master. They should behave
differently, in practice there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference.
In Wish World Archie Panjabi could easily be playing another incarnation

I don't know. I've taken the Rani to be much more cold and cruel than

Rani and the Master to be very similar, especially when able to watch

The Rani once said the Master would get dizzy if he ever tried

Her latest plan would make her dizzy just lying motionless on

No Dave, I am only replying to one part of the message. Daniel's
part, (who chose to reply to one part of yours) so that's all I
needed to quote. As everything else was irrelevant to my comment.
It's actually called good netiquette.
Please try and keep up and stop acting like a fool all the time.
You are not six years old either.
"Wish World" is basically Doctor Who does Wandavision.
Wandavision probably did it better but it was still kind of
fun to see the Doctor in a traditional family setting for a
while...
You can't really judge a story properly that's only half way
through, so for our half-time entertainment let's check the
RTD season finale checklist and see how we got on in readiness
for next week...
The Rani. Tick.
Ruby Sunday. Tick.
Belinda Chandra. Tick.
Poppy. Tick.
Conrad the Cad. Tick.
Mrs Flood. Tick.
Melanie Bush. Tick.
UNIT. Tick.
Susan Twist. Tick
Rogue. Tick.
Past Doctor cameos. Tick.
Susan. Tick
Omega. Tick.
Kitchen sink. Tick.
There's a lot to fit in next week as RTD over-eggs his season
finale pudding once again. It's a pity it'll only be a 45 minute
episode. I hope it all works out okay...

The Rani. Tick.

Had to ask google where Poppy had been seen before.
Conrad the Cad. Tick.
Took me a bit (or rather flashbacks in the episode) to remember who he
was.
Mrs Flood. Tick.
Melanie Bush. Tick.
UNIT. Tick.
Susan Twist. Tick
Where was she?
Rogue. Tick.
Had to ask google to find out who he was.
Past Doctor cameos. Tick.
Susan. Tick
Omega. Tick.
Who was Omega? They said the first Time Lord. And I was thinking, boo,
not Time Lords springing from the Doctor nonsense again. But if it's
from Classic, and Omega was the first Time Lord, it confirms that other >nonsense was just made up by the Master or some other power that
manipulated the Matrix. Hah!
Kitchen sink. Tick.
Pretty much everyone and their kitchen sink indeed. :)) (I guess the
Master, Cybermen, and Daleks are currently busy taking out the garbage
or something, and thus missing from the kitchen crowd.)
And maybe we'll see the Doctor who made it all possibly by that thing
with the salt at the edge of the universe. :)

finale pudding once again. It's a pity it'll only be a 45 minute

Yeah. But I'm looking forward to it. This episode has been way weird,
though at least in part fun. :)

Well... RTD seems intent on bringing everyone back from the
past so he might as well throw Ace in to the mix...
Maybe if we get a S3 finale?! :-)
You are called out for cut and lie BS.
No Dave, I am only replying to one part of the message. Daniel's

It's actually called good netiquette.

The Rani. Tick.

Poppy. Tick.
Had to ask google where Poppy had been seen before.
Conrad the Cad. Tick.
Took me a bit (or rather flashbacks in the episode) to
remember who he was.
Mrs Flood. Tick.
Melanie Bush. Tick.

Susan Twist. Tick
Where was she?
Rogue. Tick.
Had to ask google to find out who he was.
Past Doctor cameos. Tick.
Susan. Tick
Omega. Tick.
Who was Omega? They said the first Time Lord. And I was
thinking, boo, not Time Lords springing from the Doctor
nonsense again. But if it's from Classic, and Omega was the
first Time Lord, it confirms that other nonsense was just made
up by the Master or some other power that manipulated the
Matrix. Hah!
Kitchen sink. Tick.
Pretty much everyone and their kitchen sink indeed. :)) (I
guess the Master, Cybermen, and Daleks are currently busy
taking out the garbage or something, and thus missing from the
kitchen crowd.)
There's a lot to fit in next week as RTD over-eggs his season
finale pudding once again. It's a pity it'll only be a 45
minute episode. I hope it all works out okay...
Yeah. But I'm looking forward to it. This episode has been way
weird, though at least in part fun. :)

Omega is from the Classic series. He’s the Gallifreyan who
first invented time travel, but later went mad while trapped
for centuries inside a black hole.
As for the Timeless Child, the Master did say that the Time Lords
covered everything up and hid all knowledge about what really
happened. Even if it is all true, the Rani wouldn’t necessarily
know about it.

The Timeless Child is a legend about how the Gallifreyans got their powers
of regeneration.
Omega's story is a legend about how the Gallifreyans conquered the vast
stellar power of the Eye of Harmony, enabling them to master Time and Space travel where the equations told them they needed ludicrous power to control it.
Both of these legends were two unrelated strands in the overall creation of
the Time Lords of Gallifrey, which historically has been largely linked to Rassilon and not directly to Tecteun, the Doctor or Omega.
RTD has now chosen to cast Omega in the role of "First Time Lord' and make a
God out of him. He wasn't a God. He was a stellar engineer.
Much as Sutekh wasn't originally a real God, he was just one of a group of
manipulative aliens (Osirans) who played God games with the ancient Egyptians.
