• S2.8 - The Reality War - WHAT IF

    WHAT IF

Russell Davies used next week's episode to re-do the legend of the
timeless child? Rumors have been swirling online that Jodie Whittaker
might be appearing in the finale. If they’re not mixing that up with the quick cameo of her face from this week's episode, just imagine if her
Doctor showed up during the fifteenth Doctor's regeneration/final
moments. After plenty of clunky exposition Omega then uses some ancient
Time Lord timey wimey wave of a hand to make all of it an alternative
reality, time and the universes are then reset. It's almost like the
plot of Wish World would be a perfect set-up for that.

Either that or Russell Davies is going to bring back Gallifrey.

    A reality-busting storyline featuring Omega - a great
intergalactic engineer from Time Lord lore - would indeed
provide the perfect opportunity required to unwrite all of that
era... it could be Doctor Who's Bobby Ewing shower moment.

BUT, but would RTD really do that at this stage after saying
that he wouldn't "unwrite" his friend's work? He's more likely
to create a compromise in an attempt to please everyone and just
end up leaving a mess behind him!

Either that or Russell Davies is going to bring back Gallifrey.

With the help of Omega? Very possibly.
