Ice Age 6 Gets Official Title, Logo, & New Release Date
    -------------------------------------------------------
Disney has announced the official Ice Age 6 title for the upcoming
animated movie. It will now be called Ice Age: Boiling Point and
will release on February 5, 2027. It was previously set to come
    out on December 28, 2026.

Ice Age 6 will feature the return of long-time franchise stars Ray
Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, and Queen Latifah, as they
reprise their respective roles as Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid
the ground sloth, Diego the saber-tooth tiger, and Ellie the
    woolly mammoth.

In addition, Shaun of the Dead's Simon Pegg has also signed on to
reprise his role as Buck the one-eyed weasel, who was first
introduced in 2016's Collision Course. He later reprised the
character in a Disney+ movie titled The Ice Age Adventures of Buck
Wild. At the moment, the creative team - including the director
and writer - has yet to be revealed.

Ice Age was produced by Blue Sky Studios, a division of
20th Century Fox. The voice cast also included Josh Peck, Seann
William Scott, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, Nick Offerman, Jennifer
Lopez, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Gad.

Five Ice Age movies were released in theaters between 2002 and
2016, with a combined worldwide gross of $3.2 billion. In 2021,
Blue Sky Studios was shuttered, with Disney taking over exclusive
    rights to the series.

Huh. One of these turned out to be useful.

Not so much for the (possible) appearance of Ice Age 6 but rather
because an Ice Age 6 implies an Ice Age 5, which I somehow missed.

Whether I will like it as much as the first 3 (I found Ice Age 4 to be
"not my cup of tea" although I'm sure it had lots of fans) remains to
    be seen.

    One conspicuous non-mention!

Scrat had better be there. His shorts were really the only standouts
in a series of "enh, OK" movies.

    Ice Age 5 was ...

    Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)
When Scrat's acorn sends an asteroid to Earth, the Herd must
find a way to stop the asteroid from hitting Earth with the
    help of a returning friend.

Although I found the first three films better than OK, I agree that

His journey to squirrel heaven /alone/ was worth the price of
    admission!

Scrat probably isn't mentioned because he doesn't ever speak, althogh
he does make sounds which are made by Chris Wedge.
