Getting Love Right

When I was corresponding with a woman I loved, her father told the man who was with her to drop me before I entered the front door.
What he did not understand was that my belief in love is at least as strong as his belief in male ownership over the woman, and I am willing to risk my life for someone I love.
Many people who’ve had to struggle develop contempt for people from more advantaged backgrounds. They see them as weak, arrogant and unethical. I was the shortest and weakest kid in class; but now I can do 200 fingertip push-ups and am taking classes
in jujitsu. I have been both arrogant and non-arrogant at different times in my life. As for my ethics, I am a dedicated father, I have worked the bulk of my life, and the only thing on my criminal record is a trespassing charge from 2000.
At the site for the fans of the movie “The Crow,” someone wrote, “Not all love is holy.” Mine very much is. I sacrificed a very nice setup to be with a woman I loved. And I continue to love her even though she is with another man.
There has been a lot of anti-love agitation in recent decades. Quite simply, these people need to see love done right. There is only one of me; but there are billions of other men. I seek to influence them toward more loving attitudes and more loving
conduct. And if I succeed at that, that is probably the best thing that I can do for the world.
