    I've mentioned, Powernaut artistic style has fluctuated throughout its storyline. Early stories (no matter the story year) were low-resolution
    with the most basic artwork; later stories (1988-1999 and 2013-2024) are high-resolution with at least some shadowing. In commentary, I blame
    artistic styles on the various eras represented. (The late 1960s had underground comics; Marvel comics around 2005 trended toward minimalism;
    and so on.)

    it was originally going to be a modern art joke but i thought it would
