    Calvin & Hobbes? Oh, wait....

What I do remember (well, not much as I was almost 3) was the Bucs defeating the Bears to sneak into the Super Bowl Tournament where they would be soundly beaten by the big, bad Dallas Cowboys the following week.

Also both Tampa Bay area newspapers (the Tribune and St. Petersburg's Times) added "Bloom County". Opus and co. did debut in the Tampa Times at the beginning of 1981 and didn't immediately move to its' primary sister paper Tribune after it folded 17
months later (it would ultimately run in the Tribune's PM edition which I'd imagine went to ex-Times subscribers - when "Bloom County" wound up getting promoted, "Conrad" took its' spot in PM).

And once again lazy Jeffy has to resort to using an FC strip that was twice-recycled. First, from January 3, 1983 and again from October 5, 2018. The caption was exactly the same in both instances.

Once again Thank goodness the Tampa Bay Times dropped Daily FC strips to their exclusive e-Paper.

For the second straight day, lazy Jeffy has had to resort to using a twice-recycled FC gag.

BTW to correct Brian from November 21, 2018, it was actually the FC strip from March 21, 1994 that originally was recycled (and Thel's hair was still tweaked).

As for 2018, Thel's caption would be changed to.

Seriously Jeffy. TWO DAYS IN A ROW YOU'RE USING TWICE-RECYCLED MATERIAL?!?!?!? Look, I know you're completely out of new ideas (I have yet to see an original FC strip this year!) but resorting to using gags that have been recycled multiple times is
    completely ridiculous!!!!!

Again, I'm so glad the Tampa Bay Times demoted lazy Jeffy to their exclusive e-Paper.

And once again for Today's installment of Recycled FC, lazy Jeffy resorts to using a gag that has been twice-recycled.

The first appearance from this gag was on April 13, 1994 with the art and caption the same.

Then the gag was recycled again on April 11, 2018 with Billy's caption changed to...

"I don't like eatin' off trays. There's no place to put your elbows."

We're four months into 2022 and lazy Jeffy hasn't come up with a single new idea yet. Probably because he's out of new ideas but yet he won't stop passing off work as "new" when it clearly isn't. PLEASE GIVE IT UP ALREADY JEFFY!

As for April 18, 1994, the Post (35 cents) told its readers if Vitamin A was either a cure or cause of cancer. A delegation from CIncinnati had returned from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Jimmy Buffett was seen in an article on how concert tickets were soaring.
(They still are.) The Reds won their sixth straight game, a 7-1 win at Stade Olympique against the Montreal Expos. The article said that the Reds were playing like the 1990 World champions. (We never got to find out if they would do it due to the
cancellation of the 1994 World Series). The nation's most watched show: Home Improvement. In the Post comics, Calvin screamed throughout the strip, because his mother told him that Rosalyn was coming to babysit for him.

Well, Lazy Jeffy has done it again!!!!! Once again he has resorted to using a Family Circus gag that has been twice recycled.

Today's Recycled FC originally ran on July 28, 1983. Thel's hair was tweaked. The same gag would be repeated again some 35 years later on September 14, 2018.

When will Lazy Jeffy ever publicly admit that he's completely run out of new ideas?!?!?!?!?

As for July 28, 1983, the Post (25 cents) told us that the Indianapolis Indians of the American Association would end their affiliation with the Reds at the end of the 1983 season. Speaking of the Expos, they beat the Reds 6-3 at Riverfront Stadium.
Do you ever want to see Morgan Fairchild in person (she was a hot babe then)? Well, you can see her tonight at the Kenley Players production of Goodbye Charlie in Dayton. Opening in theaters tomorrow: National Lampoon's Vacation. In the Post comics,
Charlie Brown gave Snoopy dog food. Lucy wondered why dogs eat that stuff, and Snoopy's response: "It's an acquired taste."

Well, once again Lazy Jeffy has resorted to using an FC strip that is twice-recycled.

The first appearance of Today's strip was originally from October 11, 1983.

Then it was recycled on August 25, 2018 with Dolly's quote changed to:

"How long did it take for your eyes to get so smart, Daddy? They can read EVERYTHING!"

Why can't Lazy Jeffy ever admit that he's clear out of any new ideas for this strip?!?!?!?

It's been awhile since I complained about Lazy Jeffy resorting to recycle FC strips twice but it's happened again.

The first time was from December 10, 1992. Then, the UniHORN strip was recycled again on December 28, 2018.

Seriously Jeffy! Just admit you're out of new ideas. Imagine if it was King Features impacted by multiple strips in reruns instead of Andrews McMeel. Then we'd likely have a whole week of twice recycled FC strips!!!!!

comics, Calvin wanted a thermonuclear "smart" missile and launcher last Christmas, but he didn't get it. Calvin commented that "just becausehe gives the stuff away free, he thinks he can get away with an incompetent organization."

Well, once again Lazy Jeffy has to resort to using a Family Circus gag that has been twice recycled.

The first appearance of the gag was originally from February 18, 1978.

    https://www.newspapers.com/clip/17675550/the-pittsburgh-press/

Then the gag was used again on February 22, 2018 with Thel's hair tweaked and her caption used in a word balloon.

Why can't Lazy Jeffy just own up to the fact that he's fresh out of new ideas? I'm still unhappy about the Times dropping Fox Trot from their Sunday paper while keeping Family Circus.

Well, Lazy Jeffy has managed to go from a Recycled FC strip with no dialogue (making it impossible for me to find it on newspapers.com) to an FC strip that has been twice recycled.

The first appearance of the gag appeared on May 3, 1995.

It was later recycled on April 19, 2018 with Thel's hair tweaked and Dolly's caption changed to....

"Mommy just filled the 'frigerator with food and now it's so happy it's purring."

    https://www.newspapers.com/article/tampa-bay-times/122304279/

BTW newspapers.com has apparently revamped the clippings so I can't find when my initial clippings were originally clipped so I had to search this group for the original date.

Why can't Lazy Jeffy admit that he's fresh out of new ideas?!?!?

Well it's been a while but once again Lazy Jeffy has resorted to using a gag that has been twice recycled.

The gag's first appearance occurred on July 20, 1978.

Then the second time occurred on July 26, 2018 with Billy's caption changed to...

"Barfy and Sam wear flea collars. Can't WE wear mosquito collars?"

    https://www.newspapers.com/article/tampa-bay-times/129178969/

Seriously I wish this strip would come to an end soon.
