I knew about Harlan Ellision, but Scott Adams was new to me. Dog and

Harlan Ellison was on the staff—the only TV series he never quit. But he
had a couple of cameos, too, and a couple of story credits. His title
was a newly-invented one, “Conceptual Consultant”, described as the man responsible for telling Joe Straczynski to do a better job whenever
    Ellison thought he was slipping.

Another big fan of B5 was Howard Stern. When Warner Brothers heard about
it, they offered to send some cast members to do his show, but he
demurred, because his persona would require him to mock them, and he
    didn’t want to mock them.

One more was the legendary NYC DJ, “Cousin” Bruce Morrow, who had a perfectly straight cameo as the XO of the strangely doomed Babylon 4.

It’s streaming now on HBOMax, in newly mastered prints.

You should watch it. After all, how many US television series can you
name with an episode that is (among other things) a parody-pastiche of
    “The Lady’s Not For Burning”?

Hm. What's the name of that episode? The only one I've seen is
the one where the good guys are pursuing the bad guys while a
gospel chorus sings "No Hiding Place" in the background.

    "Sic Transit Vir”.

    Thanks!

    Oh no.  Oh no.

    Lynn

    Catch the “Babylon 5” allusion?

I have never seen Babylon 5.

The episode that proved that on Centari Prime you don't have to be
married to have marital problems. :D

I've done good in this world. Now I'm tired and just want to be a cranky
    dirty old man.
