• Curtis, 7/24/22 (about earning money)

Does anyone know if Curtis has to do UNPAID chores as well?

(Unfortunately, I suspect he doesn't, most of the time. Not a good lesson to teach. Even billionaires have unpaid work to do - such as having boring regular meetings with their employees.)

What I'd love to see - but I know it'll never happen - is a story arc in ANY family strip in which the main child character finds out that some neighbor's kid doesn't get an allowance and has to EARN any money desired, not by doing the regular share of
chores, but by doing EXTRA chores. Then, the shocked main character could say to his/her own parents "boy, that family must be poor, compared to us," and the parents could say, gloomily, "um, no, we're just deeper in debt."

Who do you think Curtis is trying to be, like Dagwood Bumstead constantly asking Mr. Dithers for a raise at work?

Maybe, but that doesn't answer my question.
