    Since the previous CLASSIC PEANUTS COMIC STRIP WATCH thread by me is getting several years old, I am starting this new thread to keep in touch on the Classic Peanuts reruns in newspapers and gocomics.com

    Today for December 12, 2022 we resume 1975 dailies after a week off for 1969 strips thanks to the pre Thanksgiving GoComics.com site outage, but rumor has it that 1975 week involving Peppermint Patty and Marcie and a football may not be rerun. Yesterday'
    s December 11, 2022 Peanuts Sunday strip originally from 1975 was rerun before in 2000 replacing a 1974 Peanuts Sunday, of course.

    Well, that Peppermint Patty/Marcie Football related 1975 strip arc was skipped over. Now we see Snoopy practicing skating for the Olympics - A 1975 Beethoven's Birthday related strip is slated to run Friday to my knowledge.

    The Olympics Snoopy was preparing for was the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. Did you know the Games were supposed to be in Denver, but voters rejected it.

    This week for the last week of 2022 we saw the first of the 1976 Peanuts daily strips with Sally and the school building, a week ago we saw 2 1975 Bicentennial related strips being rerun.

    Let's hope we see the first 1976 Peanuts Sunday on New Years Day as long as Andrews-McMeel doesn't make it part of that December 5-10, 2022 1969 substitute thanks to a site outage in Fall 2022!

    P. Patty's desk to share! Other Peanuts arcs to look for in 1976 include the long arc with Snoopy's broken foot, an arc involving Peppermint Patty trying on baseball caps made by Marcie, an arc where Snoopy goes to take part in Wimbleton and ends up in
    Kansas City instead and meets his sister Belle, an arc where while at Summer Camp Peppermint Patty and Marcie meet up with a boy named Floyd who calls Marcie "Lambcake", and an arc where Peppermint Patty takes part in the ACE Obedience School run by dogs.

    OH NO! AUGGH! For today's January 12, 2022 Peanuts strip rerprint instead of running the January 1976 strip where in the substitute school Sally mentions that the old school has a word that's sensitive (or POLITICALLY INCORRECT for today's world) we get
    for newspapers and GoComics.com the January 19, 1970 Peanuts strip that was even rerun in 2 previous 1970 year cycles in January 2004 and again in January 2016 where Woodstock is flying upside down and then Snoopy stands on his head and says to Woodstock

    Once again for the D-Day anniversary on June 6, 2023 we get the June 6, 1996 Peanuts D-Day "To remember" strip interrupting day 2 of the started yesterday 1976 Peanuts arc where Snoopy attempts to take part in Wimbeldon but ends up in Kansas City instead.

    In the 1976 Peanuts rerun era, we recently just completed what was the longest Peanuts comic strip arc to that 1976 date where Peppermint Patty becomes a student in the Ace Obedience School assigned by Snoopy - little did she later find out it was a dog
    school!
