  • Pluggers to be made into animated movie

    I've just heard that Dreamworks Animation plans to turn the comic strip Pluggers, created by the late Jeff MacNelly, into an animated movie.

    The voice cast will be John Goodman as Andy Bear, Julia Roberts as Sheila Roo Bear, Harrison Ford as Earl Houndstooth, and Diane Keaton as Henrietta Beak Houndstooth.

    The movie is scheduled for a summer 2025 release. Dreamworks previously made Over The Hedge into an animated feature in 2006.

    Does the strip have a regular cast? I thought it was just generic working-class bears as required by the joke dealing with situations
    sent in by the readers.
