    So Pibgorn picks up after a 5 month hiatus, immediately mutilates the
    title character, and instead of addressing that, we're going to have
    jokes about muff-diving and awkward romantic dialog?

    IIRC, that particular mutilation has happened before. She got better.

    In the earlier years, Brooke seemed to have a fetish for impaling his
    female characters on big spikes through the abdomen. Again, they
    generally got better.
