The Rochester NY /Democrat and Chronicle/ has been a Gannett paper since
1928, when local boy Frank Gannett added it to the company he had
founded here in 1923. Today they changed their daily comics lineup.

According to an article last week the new Sunday lineup will begin
February 4. The article spoke broadly about the /D&C/ comics selection
having changed over the years, and implied that the upcoming change
would save the paper money, but made no mention of the corporate mandate
that actually forced the revamp.
