Many wars have been started over the years over failed nobility
    contracts, especially marriage contracts.

So, why do I keep following rec.arts.comics.strips, even though the
    traffic is so low nowadays?

Because it keeps nudging me to MORE comics, from way back in the day
with "Mom's Cancer" to, more recently, "Breaking Cat News", and now I've
caught up on and added "Side Quested" to my comics bookmarks...!

(I'd also mention "Wallace the Brave", but I can't remember if Mike
Peterson's "CSOTD" blog got me onto that one, or if RACS did...!)

(And should I try this "A Girl and Her Fed" by the "Side Quested"
artists? ...it's going to take me a while to get caught up on that one,
    though! 8-) )

If I don't reply to this Sharon Tuttle post, the terroists win.

I would recommend starting with the start of the current storyline
    (Chapter 14/Page 1555). It's a good read even if you're not quite
familiar with who's who (the comic will get you up to speed for the
    most part).

In fact, I'd argue Clarice is even more effective there if you
    *don't* know her backstory.

You can always go back and read the originals (which are slowly
being redrawn in the current style, so that might be a time crunch
if you want that original flavor) later.

Older readers, like myself, will be happy to fill in any gaps or
answer any questions (assuming those questions actually HAVE
    answers).

Since you mentioned Breaking Cat News, you may want to check out another cat-focused weekly strip that recently debuted at Comics Kingdom,
Working Cats by Maritsa Patrinos (one of the "Six Chix"). It's got more
of an edge to it than the warm-and-fuzzy BCN, and the artwork is very
    good.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will jump to there, then.

Thanks for the suggestion! I like it -- interesting art, I'm liking the
cats' characters, and good humor too. It's now added to my daily rotation.
