Sorry, the text's in Japanese but it says that a weekly magazine that
lasts for 70 issues with each issue coming with a componet that you can eventually assemble into a functional robot.
You are talking about waiting over a year to patiently collect all the
parts you need and what if you miss an issue? Wouldn't people that
missed Issue 1 automatically not be interested so drop-off rate must be extremely high.
I have seen these types of magazine at Kinokuniya where you get one
component each issue and you just keep assembling it until it's finished.
It's 830 yen per issue so let's say it's $12 in U.S. Multiply that by
70 and you get $840 plus almost 10% in sales taxes. I am sure it'd be
much cheaper to buy a finished product if it's available.
