I did try building from source. The compilation/link was fine but the copy resources failed because of missing .tcp files. I just removed all reference to these and it ran OK, but I assume it will cause issues somewhere.
I was able to run and play 'return to ditch day' without seeing any problems, however this game is probably not very demanding. Can you suggest some games that are tricky to run but ought to run (i.e. not depending on features you haven't implemented)?
