    Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 now accounts for 73% of all sequenced COVID-19 cases in NYC. XBB.1.5 is the most transmissible form of COVID-19 that we know of to date and may be more likely to infect people who have been vaccinated or already had COVID-19.

    Dunno about "infected" but Republicans are more likely to die of COVID

    almost all of the difference concentrated in the period after vaccines
    were widely available in our study states. Overall, the excess death
    rate for Republicans was 5.4 percentage points (pp), or 76%, higher than
    the excess death rate for Democrats. Post- vaccines, the excess death
    rate gap between Republicans and Democrats widened from 1.6 pp (22% of
    the Democrat excess death rate) to 10.4 pp (153% of the Democrat excess
    death rate). The gap in excess death rates between Republicans and
    Democrats is concentrated in counties with low vaccination rates and
    only materializes after vaccines became widely available.

    Since there's a better original source and a subsequent tweet that
    supersedes it with the correct wording, yes, one can say it was mistake, especially when there's no evidence for it anywhere else.
