• And the leak gets weirder

Tucker goes off claiming Biden is lying about US military on the ground in Ukraine and claims we have our military in combat with Russian forces.

I think that is more than a stretch.....but...the pentagon story still doesn't add up and the leak is showing a great willingness to be less than truthful on a whole range of topics.

Anyway, Kirby has responded to the leak and claimed there are ~ 14 Special Ops personnel attached to the embassy to aid in tracking US Arms deliveries and deployment in Ukraine.
Now it's not unusual to have a military detail attached to an Embassy in a potentially hostile environment to provide security. I've no problem with that.
But they won't often be Special Ops trained combatants.
Nor would some bean counter types tracking arms deliveries to Ukraine be Special Ops trained combatants. So what are they really doing?
We're assured they are at the embassy.....but that really makes no sense for a Special Ops unit.

As usual, we'll probably never know WTF is really going on.

Probably advising, planning, or intel. The embassy is like US territory.
I have no problem with it.
Tucker is probably lying, ashe is prone to do from time to time.

Not smart to be engaged in military support from your embassy if you wish to remain a non-com.
And so unnecessary. Now Putin has the evidence and justification to plonk a missile on it.
And what would we do about it? I'd have to say...the smart thing would be nothing.

The "leak" is strange enough without bringing Tucker, MTG, etc into it.
If you have a knowledgeable comment to share (Kirby?), please do.

"I won't talk to the specifics of numbers and that kind of thing. But to get to your exact question, there is a small U.S. military presence at the embassy in conjunction with the Defense Attachés office to help us work on accountability of the material
that is going in and out of Ukraine," Kirby said, referencing the weapons and other support the U.S. has been sending to Kyiv. "So they're attached to that embassy and to that the defense attache."

I don't know of any military doctrine that doesn't include logistics as a valid military target. It would appear the US embassy has military personnel on-site engaged in exactly that.

That looks like a defense of some kind, but engaged in exactly what?
Logistics? Are you saying that if they're targets they're combatants?
