• Why Biden is turning our airline service to shit

From ScottW@21:1/5 to All on Sat May 27 07:58:59 2023
France has passed a law banning some domestic flights and encouraging travelers to take the train instead. Under the new law, flights that can be replaced by a train journey of under two-and-a-half hours should be scrapped.

The ban on short-hop flights became law on Tuesday. However, France’s national airline had already canceled three routes that were deemed too high on carbon emissions. All three went from Paris’ second airport, Orly, serving Bordeaux, Lyon and Nantes.
Those three cities are all on the country’s extensive high-speed rail network, and taking the train is also far faster than flying there.

Since we don't have a high-speed rail system, and based on Ca. efforts, we never will....Joe has to make the airline service really really suck to get everyone on AmTurtleTrac. Could that be the plan?
    You're right...Joe has no plan.

I'll take three days on a nice wide AMTRAK seat, better than airline domestic first class, over a 17 inch wide 737 seat for six hours.

3 days in any kind of seat is debilitating.

I've done it three times, it's not so bad.
And once in a sleeper, now that was bad. I had a bed, but the seat in the compartment was very uncomfortable.
