• Big Government Overreach!

Clash of the titans! The looniest "culture warriors" in cuckoo
red states are trampling all over the Constitution. They may be
seeking the moral "purity" that can only be achieved by a
theocracy. Or, more likely in my view, they crave an ethnic
purity that begins with hypocritical christian dicta and segues
eventually into formal racial discrimination and segregation.
(Let's hear some cheers for the retardo troglodytes who like to assert
the U.S. is a "christian nation" despite the documented fact that
most of the Founding Fathers considered themselves deists.)

Now very red Montana has decided that speech can only be free
if it toadies to the whims of Big Brother. The nanny state has taken
root and banned TikTok from the entire state. Not just government
workers' phones, which might be sensible from an efficiency POV.
NO ONE in the state can exercise their First Amendment rights
because of this grotesque and paranoid mind-control mission of
    wacko far-right ideologues.

You want MAGA-stan to spread? This is what happens. They're banning
(and burning) books in other states. They're whitewashing public
school curricula for political purposes. They're fanning flames
of conspiracy fires that have zero basis in reality.

First they came for the books. Then they came for the LGBTQs.
Then the blacks, the browns, the Jews, and the Catholics. Who
    will they tolerate eventually?

**I noticed an article I read the other day, where at least one
jurisdiction is considering a ban on the Bible because of the violence
    and other crap contained therein.

Looks like things are starting to backfire on the religious right.

I don't need the Bible to fulfill my violent fantasies.
    I have the Roadrunner cartoons.
Keep your fuckin hands off of them.

Let me tell you a story. When I was twelve years old my parents sent me to the Jewish version
of Sunday School. I took two classes, Yiddish and the Old Testament Bible stories.
My father asked me if I wanted to have a Bar Mitzvah, and I declined, so thank God,
I didn't have to take Hebrew.

Sending me to religious school was kind of odd, because my father was an atheist and
Socialist, but he did want me to be exposed to Jewish culture and religion, and make up my own mind. I was taken aback by the Biblical stories of constant warfare, and it just didn't relate to me. I hated learning Yiddish,
they didn't even cover the dirty words.

I ended up being an agnostic.

If there ever is a God, the Bible has absolutely nothing to do with Him'
The Bible is a man-made book of rules, with lots of scary punishments.

    Amazing.
Now try saying something sensible about drag shows.

I ended up being an agnostic.

Well, of course. You're a coward by nature.

What does cowardice have to do with being an agnostic?
Agnosticism is simply not knowing the answer to an unanswerable question.
I get this criticism from true believers, of both religionists and atheists,

cowardice would be the case if I had a belief, and were too cowardly.
to embrace it, But that's not my case.

I can't definitively say whether there is, or isn't a God.

To be fair, it is full of violence and unsavory relationships.

Those interested in gory paintings are referred to Renaissance
    representations of Judith.

Judith is from the Septuagint, of course, not strictly Biblical (one of
the 'apocrypha') and also Torah adjacent.

Plenty of other violence in the Torah.
