• Joe is very busy

according KJP when asked by reporters to please ask him to host a press conference.

Oddly, on that very busy day his official calendar had on it only one meeting. The Presidential Daily Briefing.
I wonder if there has ever been a President who was in the WH a full day in the middle of a regular work week and had nothing scheduled but the PDB?

    Any bets?

Some days, Executive Time totally predominates. For instance, he had 1
hour of scheduled meetings on Jan. 18 (with acting chief of staff Mick
Mulvaney and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin) and 7 hours of Executive
    Time.

The day after the midterms, Trump's schedule had 30 minutes for a chief
of staff meeting and more than 7 hours for Executive Time.

    End quote.

Sure, no PDB listed but not exactly a packed schedule and that was early
on when he put in an effort.

The chart shows 9 hrs of "Executive Time" with no other commitments on
    Nov 23 and Jan 21. (2018-19)

Whatabout your being opposed to whataboutism?

Scott asked for an example of a President in the White House with an
empty schedule. I found one, with specific dates without even a PDB. Of
course, that doesn't count for much for Trump who famously didn't pay
    attention to those.

No whatabouts involved when directly answering a question.

For the record, there is nothing wrong with whataboutism.
Callin out hypocrisy is perfectly acceptable.

Blinded by the darkness, the Sackdork blows his ample nose on something
that is definitely not a kleenex.

Callin[sic] out hypocrisy is perfectly acceptable.

Calling out stupidity, by contrast, is quite commendable.
