    No that Satie is a lot gentler. A lot less assaultive
    And more harmonic. Somewhat similar to Eno's ambient music.

    I am listening to the Satie as I write post to RAO and play my computer baseball game.
    It is not at all assaultive, I find it soothing, like Gymnopedeis.

    Yes, Satie is generally soothing, what with the modalities and slow pace.

    That piece is also a dance favorite.
