• This sad story reveals one real requirement

The FBI needs to be forthcoming, open and honest.

While all the details of the back and forth should be thoroughly reviewed and reported on by the IG.....the concept that the FBI can revoke security clearance and suspend pay while the investigation is ongoing while prohibiting the agent from taking
another job to live for 14 months is beyond absurd....it's borderline criminal.
Who does this if not to be "punitive". I'll bet lump summing back pay has a fat tax penalty with it too.

Since you cited and quoted, I clicked through but the website is so
horribly formatted that the useful information is all but hidden. Things
like the names of the allegedly singled-out agents.

I don't believe there was a profiling of Marine FBI agents for Trumpism
    as such.

I will look elsewhere...okay, reader view to the rescue:

“It is wholly irresponsible of The Washington Times, and this reporter,
to include outrageous and demonstrably false allegations that the FBI
singled out former military employees. It is offensive that The
Washington Times chose to publish, on Veteran’s Day, such baseless, unsubstantiated claims and include the names of FBI employees, one of
which is a veteran. The FBI has not and will not retaliate against
individuals who make protected whistleblower disclosures. We do not
target or take adverse action against employees for exercising their
First Amendment rights or for their political views. The FBI is proud to
have many veterans in our workforce and we thank all veterans for their service,” the FBI said.

Are you equating being a Marine with leaking to Project Veritas? Seems
like that would be a problem whether you've been a Marine or not.

    Blah....blah....and blah.

The aren't denying they have an agent suspended without pay for 14 months
and remains prohibited from seeking other employment.
That sure reeks of an absurdly slow moving bureaucracy as punishment.

The FBI has a duty to either terminate or reinstate him a timely manner.

Yes, the FBI gets really formal when it needs to get a point across.

The aren't denying they have an agent suspended without pay for 14 months

He's not prohibited from taking money from Kash Patel.

That sure reeks of an absurdly slow moving bureaucracy as punishment.

The FBI has a duty to either terminate or reinstate him a timely manner.

Or charge him for leaks and false statements.

Another indicator the FBI wants no part of discovery or cross examination
under oath in a courtroom. Why?

How can it be "another" when you haven't shown a first one?
