• LXNAV S80: GPS data input via PDA port?

From Moshe Braner@21:1/5 to All on Sat Apr 22 22:38:06 2023
Can the S80 accept GPS and FLARM data via the PDA port (RJ45), or does
it insist that those types of data come from the GPS port (RJ12)? The
PDA port offers 5V power and a TTL-level serial port, which would be
more suitable for some devices than the RJ12 port which only has 12V and
    RS232.

    Hi Moshe,

Yes. The S80 can receive GPS data through the PDA port. I have connected Oudie IGC units to the S80's PDA port and the S80 received GPS data from the Oudie IGC, and forwarded TE compensated vario and airspeed data from the S80 to the Oudie IGC. It
    worked well.

What device are you trying to connect to the S80?

    Best Regards,
