Yesterday was really miserable. I took the wife out to breakfast at the local IHOP Which for no descenable reason left a black man sitting there alone. I should have asked him if he would sit with us but thought he might be waiting for someone else. By
the end of our meal it was plain that he wasn't.

Then we went down to the Bank to see what was going on with Norton who said they were charging my wife $200 for a policy she didn't ask for. Turns out that this is occuring often - if you get a bill from Norton simply look at the return affress and
report that address as a scam.

Then I drove down to Cupertino to pick up an Ultegra Crankset to install on the small DeRosa. I should have filled up before leaving but the Mercury makes such good mileage I didn't bother. I forget why but I decided to come back via I680 and Livermore.
I still had plenty of gas. I got into Livermore and the instruments reported I was low on gas so I had to stop in a gas station.

Much to my surprise my keya to the gas cap which were on my key ring were not there. I looked everywhere and they were gone. Eve3ntually I called the local locksmith that came out and opened the cap and I could put gas in it. The key that was in the cap
was not one that the locksmith could duplicate bexause the entire mechanism is snclosed in plastic. He thought I could buy a new cap at the Auto Zone but they had nothing even close/ I drove back to San Leandro in really heavy traffic znd stopped at the
Ford Store where I used to get all of my cars. The parts man looked up the car ID and came out with the perfect fit. Now one of the keys is on a mechanism that is NOT going to be lost from the key and the spare will go into the secret compartment in the
    car never to be lost.

Getting home, the Ultegra crank was missing the end cap. The seller said he didn't have it. Then he had the termerity to try and sell me some more parts.

Today is a rain day so I won't be riding. I repainted the small DeRosa but the temperature was too low so the paint didn't dry with a sheen. I will probably have to wait for Spring. But I will assemble the bike. The L-TWoo 10 speed group came in and work
fine. The downshift button has a weird shape so that you can use them on the tops or the drops. This is different from the 11 speed levers. The handlebar locking bolts work slightly different from Shaimano but that is just a case of knowing there they
    are.

ev4erything is now here except for the Merak decals and the crankset endplug. They are cheap and will be delivbered rapidly.
