Look ... it's become a GIANT PROBLEM, and not just
for hurricane-prone states. Seems like most anywhere
could be the next giant disaster - California fires
and quakes, NYC social/economic implosion, poison
train wrecks or chem factories .... anywhere, any time.
"Disasters" have become Too Expensive and economics
have resulted in ever-lower insurance reserves to
cover such disasters.
When the USA was still high and mighty, when we
still had a Brighter Future, no problem. But now ....
At this point, even "insurers of last resort" are
too expensive for most people - and there's NO
guarentee they'd ever pay-up. Even a tidal surge
along most coasts would WIPE THEM OUT AND THEN
SOME ... so it WON'T WORK. "Stuff" is TOO EXPENSIVE
these days.
SO ... from now on, NO PROPERTY INSURANCE. The only
people who could afford it are the people who don't
NEED it.
Quasi-alternatives ... for "property", consider getting
just "liability insurance" in case anyone is injured on
your property and is keen to sue (everyone is these days,
it's become a carrion-eater society).
However for STRUCTURES - forget it. Rebuild on your own
dime or park a single-wide on site. This is How It's
Going To Be. No way out. Some insurers MAY be prompted to
offer "partial solutions", ie insurance up to some (rather
low) figure, just barely enough to "cushion the blow",
maybe pay for that single-wide.
And the Shape Of Things To Come - an increasingly
divided USA. Regular Joes will live more as peons
while a narrow upper-class lives well. Even commies
can't fix this - won't - their leaders will make
sure THEY are that narrow upper class. Hey, did
Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro live like peasants ??? :-)
Not entirely sure what "atheism" or "guns" have to
do with any of this .....

DeSantis and Trump say that Al Gore's big global warming hoax is to blame
and the more we deny it, the faster it will go away.
