    That Bike farmer which I think Andrew posted a link to while back, he’s an odd chap really.

    But apparently riding a route that Jobst used to ride, not sure he (Bike farmer) really likes off road! The route they used looked all road ie
    fairly tame gravel and roads, though apparently Jobst and so would have
    ridden on road bikes of the era, so be some stiff gearing! Though as ever
    is some fun to be had being “underbiked” and all that.

    It is really difficult to ride around the San Francisco pejnesula and particularly the south end without doing a Jobst ride. Though thee are few of the gravel paths left. They're all paved now.

    There are still hard packed dirt trails but they all are along the bay and Jobst wanted climbing.
