Live for a thrill and you get to die for the thrill. This does not make

Agreed. "Influencers" who do hyper-risky tricks to gain followers and
make money do nobody any good. They probably inspire other fools to lose
at risky tricks. And as in this case, they trigger public spending to
    rescue them from their failures.

For many people, risk is the spice of life. For others, it's something
    to be avoided.

I’d suggest can be more nuanced, that they say influencer before say MTBer makes me wonder how prepared he was? Certainly some of the YouTube folks
such as GCN or the MTB guys have had fairly serious injuries or high risks showing some places/events

Kinda depends on if one understands the risks. I’ll take some risks cycling and others I’ll pass I tend to avoid jumps beyond just riding off a step
    off etc.

Of course it does. Everyone gets to decide for themselves and that's
how it's supposed to be. I never wanted to die in bed, but that's
probably how it's going to be. The older I get, the less I concern
myself with risks, but also, the less physically capable I am to do
    the risky stuff.

I’d make judgment calls about some stuff, where the risk vs reward as I’ve got older etc isn’t really worth it, and frankly is probably getting beyond what my MTB was designed to cope with.

Less the durability more the geometry, DH etc bikes are long and slack for
    a reason.

One might say Mr Villareal Perez died doing what he loved,

If he retained consciousness about five minutes after his
crash, my bet is that he thought "OK, that was a huge

    Not all decisions are correct.
