I ordered a part from LA and it has been in Hawthorn since the 10th. Also anything that comes through Colorado can expect a couple of days delay.

Hint: Click on the "layers" icon in the upper right corner and check
ALL the boxes. The colored dots are "storm reports". Click on the
"Legend" icon in the upper right corner for an absurdly long list of
storm warnings, watches, alerts, advisories, etc.

Ummmm... did you get a tracking number from the sender?

    In theory:

but as a regular shipper, the reality is not quite like that.

Thanks, but that map shows the typical delivery times and ignores
temporary outages such as weather, fires, floods, disaster, traffic, construction etc. The title on the map is "Current Service Standards
as of Jan 1, 2024" which puts the information five weeks behind. My
guess(tm) is whatever is delaying delivery of Tom's parts in Hawthorn,
Ca is temporary and will not appear on that map.

What I've found is a USPS package is often shipped by a private
carrier and then delivered to the recipient by USPS. I can usually
get USPS tracking information for the initial shipment and the
eventual delivery, but no tracking while it's being handled by the
private carrier. If I pay for USPS parcel tracking information on the
original parcel shipment, it SOMETIMES gets shipped by USPS and not by
a private carrier. If I don't ask for USPS parcel tracking
information, it almost always is shipped by a private carrier. Like
making sausage, I really don't want to know how it works and why it
    doesn't seem to be consistent.
