    Frank, from your tone of posting I can only assume that you're referring to me. Threats like that on you would have been purely theoretical, unlike Flunky who supposedly works a real job. As for beyond midnight, correcting papers is not work that
    requires thinking but time alone. I often did some of my best work while sleeping because my dreams were always about my work and how to resolve difficulties. This occurs even today when a recent dream was about getting the heart/lung machine to work
    properly. While the heart pump worked flawlessly, the artificial lungs were a real mess in which I was not involved. Oxygen exchange between the air and circulatory system is a mess which is why at best lung transplants do not work.

    But you might ask yourself what sort of dean would be satisfied with ANY teacher's work? It is a dean's job to never be happy with the work of anyone under him and to always work for improvements. This is how I approached every job. To always try to make
    improvements of any previous performnce. And my job history showed that as my references noted.

    I think that you should show a bit more emotional indifference. NONE of the industrial age advancements came from teachers even if they came from ideas often started by them. I do not deny your importance but it would be wise for you to do so.
