I’m with hookless less than convinced it’s the right choice with a low recommendation max pressure of 72psi for road use, as while there are 40mm tyres most seem to around the 30mm mark.

Even with MTB it does lower the max pressure though apparently does allow stronger rims, though depends on your use case, it’s less of an issue with lower pressures.

And unsurprisingly Swiss Side and probably others are less than happy with
the UCI rules on max rim depth, as well time/money to design a rim.

i need hooked rims and will never go hookless. No advantage and only a
downside that is not a good happening.

    +1
The original Mavic E hooked rim was a significant
breakthrough design, bringing a hooked edge to metric series
rims. People forget how bad things were before that.

They seem to work, but except for very few limited applications don't
seem to be worth the effort of buying a new set of wheels with
compatible tires. I wouldn't go so far as to call them a scam, but the
last thing I need right now are more wheels.

I don’t have spare wheels, though the Gravel and MTB could swap wheels! But in both cases hookless pluses seem more for the manufacturers than the
user. Maybe folks riding DH world cups but I’d be unlikely to manage to
    even ride the course!
