I was there few weeks back, it’s had and having a number of roads closed to motor vehicles as it was I believe a junction that had a high number of casualties be that fatal or serious, on foot myself as by bike I tend to
bypass it, as I did via the Embankment on way to get to the boat as It was
a nice day and had time etc.

While does seem like perhaps an somewhat argumentative character, I can’t
see the ticket sticking, number of uk traffic’s laws and regulations are
only for motorists, and the law courts tends to be pragmatic, ie if someone wants to ride hands free it’s a essentially their choice, likewise police don’t go stopping folks for tailgating aka drafting out on a club run say.

Which they will for motorists on motorways and so on, and occasionally not moving left ie lane hogging.

Police and councils have form for overreaching particularly if their egos
are hurt! It never goes well for them once it hits the courts or more
likely the CPS who will make a decision as to is the case likely to succeed and/or in the public interest.
