Did another 1400 feet of climbing and 30 miles today but I was pretty worn out from all of the riding last week. So I cut 200 feet off of the climb. I took a round about route and traded climbing for distance. But my speed was down and when I got home I
    was really dragging.

But my last ride of the month is Thursday and that will give me 550 miles for July. That will be 50 miles further than I did in January before my stroke. So in August I will try and return to my old routes. I don't seem to be losing any weight despite
not eating much. But making more extended rides should start showing up.

So far this year I've put in 1900 miles and 34,000 feet of climbing. Nothing like last year but things are what they are.

The main roads are open so I didn't have any trouble doing Cull Canyon today, I did the short route back so of cource roads were beubg worked on and idiot women were driving out of parking lots at high speed without looking either way,

But on the 5th of the month I already have 131 miles so I'm going well.

I did Cull Canyon again today and popped over Fairmont hill on the way back. I was trying to stay in Zone 1 and I also threw the chain at the turnaround at the top. But I still had a half mph faster average speed on that course than last week. So there
seems to be a disconnect between riding zone 1 and 2 when you're a senior citizen. I have been slowly but surely improving my average speed by training as much as I can in Zone 1.

At this point besides losing 2 months and a week to the stroke I presently have 2300 miles and 52,266 feet of climbing. That's not much climbing compared to what I used to do but perhaps I will improve on it over time.

Did another 27 miles today an d thanks to my taking Sunday off I wasn't dying when I went over Fairmont hill. So I did 1400 feet of climbing and got home not feeling completely dead on my feet. My verage speed was 9.6 mph and the ride. None of the so-
called pills to raise my energy have had any effect. And despite having 2 meals a day, I'm not losing any weight. While I was riding out of the Canyon, quite a few bikes were riding in. But no one caught up with me. I thibnk that they hang around the top
uptil the entire group shows up before starting down. Another day, another ride
