Sad that so many bikers are hurt/killed while simply minding their own
business going from A to B.

I have no idea what cycling is like in Tennessee. I know that Kentucky was called the land of unleashed dogs for bike tourists when I read the journals
on the "Crazy Guy on a Bike" website.

Does everyone already have that in his bookmarks? Fun reading.

On my Cull Canyon ride, they have been trimming a lot of trees and now they have been reploacing the sewer pipes with plastic. These should last several lifetimes. But this means that there are tractor carriers going in and out. They haven't a clue
about passing safely and so when I spot on coming up behind me I tzke the entire road. The last time I was one inch off of center the jackass passeed me staying in the right lane becausen it was a turn. I came within inches of being sucked under the
wheels of that trailer. Luckily the pavement widened out a little on that turn.

Jeez....harrowing. Glad you survived and hope they don't give you the "horn
    of death" when following.

(that's what one local ba.mountain-folk poster used to call his Mercedes'
horn when he was showing his displeasure to whomever...)
