I was expecting Nindegward to wait for the Angrilu to take back the red jersey, but he must have been feeling well since he killed everyone at the bottom 12%. This was not an ideal plave since the top several miles of the climb was only 4% and that
allowed everyone else to claw back time.
So in the end Vindegaard is now only 37 seconds in arrears rather than 2:32 and that gives him a lot of time in case something goes wrong like a flat at the wrong time.
The good thing about the Vuelta is it is giving Vindegaard back his confidence after his serious crash injuries. He was nearly up to His old standard, though Sepp Kuss absolutely was not.
