    Any VHS tape collectors here?

Anyone got tips for easy or not-so-easy ways of recovering mouldy
tapes (I usually avoid buying them, but sometimes I miss it or
they're too tempting)? I'm thinking about building a cleaning
machine out of an old VHS rewinder, but haven't got around to it
yet. I wonder if the mold will scrape off the tape more easily if
    you dry it out first?

I mainly buy tapes from second-hard shops. Sometimes online if
they're near enough to pick up and avoid postage costs worth many
times the value of the tape. I've bought hundreds in recent years
while they've been cheap (under $1), but they're getting more rare
    now locally.

The 80s rental tapes of forgotten low-budget films along with
super-cheesy trailers are my favourites. I don't try to seek out
the rare horror tapes which are actually worth something, just
    whatever I like to watch.
