Did some shopping this week. Perhaps you can call it Defensive Shopping
as I considered everything that can become us and prepared for it.

What if the bird flu jumps to humans and it is like going through the
Covid exercises again? I'm ready, I bought toilet paper.

Tariffs? Yeah, we have to stick it to the enemy north of us and prices
will skyrocket. Bought a quart of maple syrup that will last for a long
time, until I can grow my own maple trees.

There's a small maple syrup industry in Michigan. I usually buy that.
And of course, there's always Vermont.

Good thing I don't drink beer anymore. My standard brand was Labatt's.

When I lived in CT, there was a couple of local source or syrup. Pretty
good stuff, but only sold local.

For a very long time I drank Moosehead but hard to find here. Bought a
12 pack of Heineken many months ago, still have two in the fridge. Beer
goes well with certain foods, like pizza, but don't drink it if thirsty.
that is what cold water is for.

What did you like about Moosehead?

I liked the taste and it poured a nice head. Other beers are very
similar but I just stuck with it knowing the next will be as good as the
    last.

I'm down to one Heineken so will have to replenish in the next week or two.

Heineken is popular in Hawaii, oddly enough. The locals call it "green
bottle." OTOH, I might be wrong about that - I'm not part of the beer
    drinking culture.
