eww, i thought. my niece said that's what she was making fordinner at my mom's house on saturday.
turns out pulled crockpot chicken is sorta' edible. she didn't
say what exactly she was making, just said crockpot chicken. used
four whole boneless breasts, a can of cream of chicken soup,
some stuffing out of a box, a packet of gravy mix, and a cup of
water.
thankfully it wasn't the whole chicken i had pictured her making
in my mind. that would have been just plain nasty. bluegh.

me. Your niece should get together with Dave's niece, who seemingly
will eat just about anything (and everything).

I make a great chicken soup - any kind of soup you want.

I just made a great chicken soup too. We had a roasted chicken for
supper last night. I stripped the meat of the bones this morning an
threw the carcass in a pot with some chopped onion, carrot, celery and a little garlic and a couple bay leaves. My wife had saved all the
drippings from the roast so they went in too. I had a bowl of it for
lunch and I was impressed.

I will do pretty much the same thing except that I'll throw the whole
carcass in the crockpot. After a couple of hours, the meat falls off the >bones. The bones get dumped and the soup proceeds in any number of >directions. The flesh strips off the bones so cleanly that you can use
them in any number of craft projects.

He does love tilapia. I'm not sure what he did to make those hominy
grits in another post "superior" other than sprinkle them with a whole
lot of pepper. But hey, he got to toss around the word "nixtimalized". ;)

I steer clear unless I can source the Tilapia.

You don't buy it unless you can buy it?

In her clumsy way, Carol is trying to say, "I steer clear unless
I can identify the source of the tilapia." She often verbs nouns
that others do not. (See what I did there?)
Identification of the source is required by law, but it's not
always obviously displayed in the store, despite the intent of
the law. I see there are exceptions for small businesses.

Pass this crockpot chicken recipe along to your niece.
Four (4) whole boneless chicken breasts or the pieces you
like as long as they are SKINLESS. Boneless or bone-in,
it doesn't matter.
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
NO water or liquid of any sort and if you feel the need
the canned soups can be stirred together a bit. Empty
all these cans on top of your selected chicken parts.
Some people like to add a dash or two or three of
poultry seasoning to the mix. I don't as I didn't
think it added anything special. NO salt either.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours if using thawed
meat. Six to eight hours if your chicken is frozen.
You'll need to go by the times of your slow cooker as
you would be familiar with it's cooking temperature.
When ready to serve, prepare a pan of white rice, do
NOT cook your rice in with the chicken. Serve the
chicken over rice with a green vegetable or a salad
and some crusty bread to soak up that gravy.
