    So get out the instructions.

Heh. With my previous range, I never could remember how to access
"clock set mode" from the control panel. Instead of getting out
the instructions to reset for daylight savings time, I'd just force
a "sudden, local power failure" by unplugging it. At that point
    it was easy to reset.

That said, I deliberately refrain from setting the microwave clock.
It would drive us crazy to have it and the range hood clock disagree,
which they inevitably would. My current range displays "control
panel locked". We lock the control panel so my husband doesn't
accidentally start the oven (or something) when he bumps up against
    it.

That's the type of "air fryer" that looks like a toaster oven. Not
interested. I have a very small (as Ed describes it) bucket air fryer.
It's fine for reheating a few things but I don't use it a lot. I tend
to cook most of my food on the stove top and for that the air fryer I
    have is not really helpful.

You won't be interested in this one because it looks like a toaster oven
but it is the one I bought my son and DiL for Christmas and he loves it.
He thinks I should get rid of our old one and get one of these. AAMOF
fact we are headed into town in a few minutes and I was thinking about
doing that but then I saw the price. They were on sale at Christmas for
half that. Call be cheap but I can't spend $300 on something that was
    $150 two months ago.

If the one you already have is fine and works well for you, why go out
and buy a more expensive version that you got for your son when it was
on sale when the one you have works fine? Doesn't make sense.

I might have gone for it if I could get it for the price I paid for my
son's. It would be an indulgence. No way I am paying the full price.

Same here, basket type. Super small size. Since it's normally just
the 2 of us, it's fine. Right now it's on the floor under the claw
footed china cabinet as the verticle rotisserie is in it's space.

A 4.75lb whole chicken spinning about. It's making planned leftovers
after first dinner, so expect a lot of chicken to sneak in the recipes
    for a bit.

From a design standpoint, that model gives me the willies. A lot of the
space is given up for a very cool retro set of controls. I love retro
but that's too much space. OTOH, if you're the type of person that loves
to show off your kitchen, but doesn't like cooking much, that air fryer
    is your huckleberry, alright.

I used to have one of those air fryers. Those things are somewhat too

because I wanted more. I sure got more, alright.
