Six years ago when we moved to FL I opened a local bank account. My
intention was to switch everything and it would be my only bank.

Never made the change, never really had the need. Both my CT an FL
banks have been sold and now have new names, but the transactions still
work the same with account and routing numbers. Bills are paid on line.
I wrote two checks last year.

I use the local bank for the ATM and I did earn 20 cents interest last
    year on my deposits there.
