not these days, we portion up things so we can eat them
    for dinner.

today was meatloaf and mashed potatoes for brunch and
then for dinner i had some spaghetti (no meat in the sauce).

    all was good.

Sounds heavenly, your Majesty. Especially the high class brie and kerry
gold. Were you able to buy those at publix?

Just a sandwich and soup here.

It was cheese and crackers with a glass of milk and a
    carton of peach yogurt here.

My wife had day-old Pork 'N York with broccoli. I "think" I'll have
    canned tamales. Not too impressive.

I had some furikake ahi at Heeia pier. It was so-so. My granddaughter is
taking up canoe paddling. It's a big sport in Hawaii. You can tell girls
that take up the sport. They'll be wide of shoulders and dark from the
sun. The canoes taking off look like space ships. The skinny crafts move
almost friction-less on the ocean. Mostly, they're affected by thrust
    and inertia.

Friday's lunch was a "barbecue" pulled pork sandwich; the pork
was leftover from lunch out with my mother on Wednesday. Dinner
was a salad with grilled chicken.

Today, however, we're having veal Parmesan (of sorts) for lunch.
It won't be breaded and fried, but some toasted homemade bread
crumbs will be used as garnish to give it a suggestion of
crispness. I'm not exactly sure how my husband plans to cook
the veal. I'm going to suggest dusting it with flour and frying
it in a very small amount of olive oil.

    Yes but not by me, so no idea what he's planning to do;
    he has defrosted sausages.

Sounds good! I haven't bought veal in a long time. I think I'll look
for some veal scallops the next time I'm at the grocery store.

It does connect the kids with their legacy/past/traditions. I asked my granddaughter if her arms were aching. She said not at all. That's
amazing, they paddled quite a distance.

friday night had a salad. saturday made lollipop chicken on a
grill. mom made a mac-salad and baked beans from a can. sunday
ordered pizza. was a first for us - Tuscan Pizza -. white sauce,
ricotta, mozzarella, chicken, and topped with sun dried tomato.
was good but really heavy. normally i can chow down a half a
medium pizza. had 1/4 of this one and called myself done. lol.

i was going to grill the rest of the lollipop chicken sunday,
but the electric storms and high winds had other ideas, so those
went in the freeze for next weekend.
