Tomorrow, the World Famous, Virginia City, Rocky Mountain Oyster
Festival is being held. Although I'll miss it for the every year in a
row, be there or be square!
There is a significant, but short, climb out of Reno to get there. Use
a 4-WD in case of snow. I had RM oysters once, on a sandwich roll, while cooking for Ducks Unlimited. I thought they were meatballs. They tasted
    like meatballs.
I have to be tricked into eating organ meat, _especially_ RM oysters. Nevertheless, they tasted better than liver, kidneys and brains, so come
    one, come all!

Someone has to ask... if you put them in the fridge do they shrivel up?

Just a few minutes ago I watched "Modern Marvels" and it was
all about turkeys. Both domesticated and wild turkeys and of
course they showed "turkey fries" being prepared, fried, and
served. Nothing was mentioned about 'shrinkage.'
